Domain FAQs

Domain FAQs help you to navigate and use the features of our web site.

Question: What are the accesskeys for the web site?

Solution:  The AlwaysAccessible web site uses the following access keys:
  • Alt-Q for Help
  • Alt-C for Feedback
  • Alt-P for Personalize

Question: What do I do if I am having problems using the site?

Solution:  We have provided users with two services to make our domain more accessible and useful.

First, there is an FAQ database that supplies common questions and answers for the site, as well as more detailed help for individual pages. We update the FAQ database each quarter, so if you can think of a good FAQ to add, especially if it relates to assistive technology, please do so. The access key for our Help services is Alt-Q.

The second service is our Feedback link, accessed using Alt-C. If our FAQ database does not cut it, the Feedback link gives you a chance to let us know how you feel about the site. The Feedback link uses a wizard to structure your comments so they can be best acted upon by our technical staff.

Question: I am a low vision user, how can I change the viewing options of the site?

Solution:  We provide the Personalize link, accessed using Alt-P, that allows you to change the presentation of our web site. You can use Personalize to change the background color, text color, text font, font size, and even the layout of the pages. Of course, you can always configure your browser to ignore styles, and apply your own preferences. But with the great features of our Personalize service, why would you want to?

Question: Is there a consistent link to get me to the home page?

Solution:  Yes. The AlwaysAccessible logo image serves as a shortcut to the home page throughout the site. The AlwaysAccessible logo image features "Return to the AlwaysAccessible Home" alternative text, making it accessible for users of assistive technology.

If our FAQ database was unable to help you access our site, we would like you to submit your specific access question to our support staff. We will investigate and update our FAQ database immediately. Your input will help us to improve the accessibility of our domain for all users.
